He's engaged: Consider me bowled over. That was an incredible piece Jennifer Maerz wrote on Wallpaper. ["Just Tweet It," Feature, 9/23]. So well reported and well told. Not a dull moment and it moves fluidly through many words and an astounding number of sources and scenes with nary a hiccup.

As someone who's known Eric Frederic extremely well for pretty much the entire span Maerz covered (in fact, I took the pictures that adorn the "Groove Heroes" record), I can say with confidence that I don't think the story could have been told better, more accurately, or more engagingly. And this is coming from someone who really wanted to write that story. So for whatever it's worth, truly amazing job.

Following Bouncer
We're with you till the last part: I love Katy St. Clair's column, Bouncer. Every Wednesday morning, I wake up with the eagerness of a freshman girl on her first day of high school, step out into the crisp San Francisco morning air, and grab the new SF Weekly. I jump to the back, thumb just past Savage Love to find her column ... look, look, and look. Between the crappy band ads and lube/whore ads ... where is Katy?

I hate when the Weekly doesn't publish her column. I would like to think that she just "decided" to take a week off, but never really know. In the future, I would love it if she could suffer through another week, because my whole day sucks a bit more than usual when her column isn't in the week's issue.

Without this column, I would never read your paper. I am one of many.

Bus fuss: Katy St. Clair makes a good point about how nobody ever tells the bus dickheads to shut the fuck up ["Gloomy Bloom's Brings Out the Cynic," Bouncer, 9/30]. We sit mute and endure their venomous nonsense because it is not in our best personal and/or physical interest to engage. The potential downside (lost teeth, contusions, abrasions) is too great. However, at some point in time, they will certainly take the vicious ass whipping that is silently avoided.Guaranteed.

In response to a negative review ofKylie Minogue's first U.S. show:You really should have done your research before you went to the show! Kylie is an absolute legend and has an amazing back catalog. Unfortunately you're just one of those people who jumped on during the "Can't Get You Out of My Head" years. Listen to some of the earlier albums — "Spinning Around" is one of the sweetest pop songs ever!

Her ability to put on a theatrical show is immense and she has been doing it long before Madonna started with the "Sweet and Sticky" tour. She is a showgirl, and it's unfortunate for you that you can't see that! This show was for the fans and fans only; obvious that you're not.

Correction
The opening paragraph of Matt Smith's 8/19 column, "The Lie Detective," listed theoretical examples of "uncomfortable questions" that could elicit a physical response from someone. Smith did not actually pose those questions to SFPD's polygraph examiner, Patrick Coffey, nor did Coffey ask his test subjects any such questions. SF Weekly regrets any confusion.
