Children will be more enchanted than spooked at this family concert of Mexican music, helmed by 29-year-old Mexican conductor Alondra de la Parra. Highlights include Like Water for Chocolate author Laura Esquivel reciting calaveras, pan de muerto and Mexican hot chocolate in the lobby before the show, and a variety of Day of the Dead exhibits, including a demonstration by Mexican sugar skull artist Miguel Quintana and a procession from the street into Davies Symphony Hall by the Mixcoatl Anahuac Aztec dancers.
