Tap Tap Tap

Dancers aren’t known for their smarts. Don’t shoot the messenger, it’s just a reality. Besides, who needs to be all brainy when you know how to move? The thing is, when a dancer is intelligent, society runs the risk of hosting a superbeing — we can only hope that Savion Glover continues to use his powers for good and not for evil. Gregory Hines called him “the greatest tap dancer of all time,” thus ending the need for anyone to ever comment on his talent again. He starred in Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, a movie most people can’t even comprehend enough to watch it, let alone bring it to life, as well as in the huge Broadway hit Bring in 'da Noise/ Bring in 'da Funk. Committed to education, Glover appeared on Sesame Street for years. His look is classic, his taps are light-speed, and his smile is a laser beam. Let’s just try to keep him happy and hope for the best.
