Either way, our voyeurism is disgusting, except that we may see ourselves in the reedy heroines. At Holly Andres' "Sparrow Lane," the artist is defiantly complicit -- those redheaded waifs in the woods are wearing a lot of lipstick. The photography's weird suggestions of narrative immediately call to mind Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides, but instead of a harsh pastel wash, the general palette features popping Technicolor: Somehow, it creates the same sense of impending tragedy mixed with nostalgia for youth.
