Get A Paper Cut

Nikki McClure's art makes us think of the cut-paper designs of the aged Henri Matisse, and not just because she uses cut paper. McClure also shows a similar ability to know which are the important lines in a composition, suggesting much but using very little: Most of her work is made with an X-acto knife and a single sheet of paper. At "Revive," the Olympia, WA-basted artist exhibits the original art that makes up her 2010 calendar as well as work from her children's book, All In A Day.
