New Zealand septet Fat Freddy's Drop occupies the soulful end of the digital spectrum, cranking out electronic dub music with the spirit of a much older sound. The band's sophomore album, Dr Boondigga and the Big BW, reached the top of the album charts and went platinum in one week at home, and has been certified double-platinum since the summertime. The band is heavy on the horniness — as in trombone, sax, and trumpet — which really shines through on "Boondigga," where the instruments valiantly compete for attention with Joe Dukie's honeyed babymaker of a voice.
