Having teased us long enough with his stream of subversive singles and inspired videos, San Francisco's colorful Hunx has finally collected his should-be hits on the album Gay Singles. He may still be best known as a member of Gravy Train!!!!, but the man is accumulating cult fame on the strength of his willfully queer lyrics, cartoonish pout of a voice, and ultracatchy take on bubblegum. Addressing the joys of sex with coy innocence — "I don't think he's gonna miss her/'Cause I'm a really good kisser" — he's shaping up to be an unlikely pop sensation.
