So Many Women, So Little Time

At the Women on the Way Festival, there's a wide range of live entertainment: poetry, plays, music, clowning, performance art, and more. Among the highlights are performances by singer and composer Amy X. Neuburg, and Anne Bluethenthal's dance company. But we're most excited about two aerial dance pieces — one, Falling Away (Jan. 30-31), by Sonya Smith and Dancers, grew from the intense local contact improv scene, while the other, Aerial Mirror (also Jan. 30-31), is a hoop act from the circus world performed by Stephanie and Valerie Koechlin.
