Comedy about suicide is so rare. Oh, sure, you've got your jokers in the comments on SFGate, but they're not funny. Paolo Sambrano brings it, though. As part of the two-day stage show "On the Periphery of Love," Sambrano mines the depths and comes up with gold in Bi-Poseur, a one-man show focusing on "the quest for the perfect suicide note (otherwise, why do it?)" among other things. He holds down the first evening solo, while Valentine's Day features three other graduates of the performance workshop taught by blowing-the-fuck-up comedian W. Kamau Bell. (We keep hearing rumors with the phrase "Los Angeles" in them.) They are Zahra Noorbakhsh, with a comedy of interracial, -ethnic, and -religion dating, All Atheists Are Muslims; Bruce Pachtman, who you may remember from his long-running show in the late '90s, Don't Make Me Look Too Psychotic, here doing it starts in bed and ends in bed but differently, and Thao P. Nguyen, who offers a rather self-explanatory I'm So Gay.
