Every scene has its superstars, especially in the arts. You have only to watch the documentary Helvetica to realize how much effort goes into stuff you've never even thought about, such as the design of typefaces and fonts. Those nerds are fucking serious! At the Silent Auction and Cocktail Party, many book art scene superstars have donated work for attendees to snap up; one of them is Bob Aufuldish. With his partner Kathy Warriner, Aufuldish is kinda the guy in the art book design scene; he works on a lot of schmancy museum catalogs, and yeah, you know those nerds are serious. Many other obscure-to-the-public but highly talented artists contribute here; don't forget the center's reputation for extreme high quality and awesomely nerdy attention to detail.
