List: Why plans for 38-story downtown condos were scrapped

Last week, the Board of Supervisors rejected plans for a 38-story condominium tower downtown. Why was the tower rejected?

• The Eye of Sauron on top wasn't evil enough

• There wasn't a 38-story tower here in the '60s

• Too easy for escaped zoo animals to climb

• All the people who'd made down payments on condos were complete dicks

• The developer forgot that in San Francisco, you have to bribe on Tuesday and Thursday
