Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman are getting a sitter, for in a surprising and heartening move they appear together tonight. It should make for an interesting dynamic: We know Waldman’s fans will be eyeing Chabon, going mmmm-hmmm, because of some of what she’s written. (We mean about the sex with Chabon.) His fans, on the other hand, could be screaming about Star Trek, or Jewish law, or genre fiction — to be frank, he's been all over the place, thematically. Today, both are armed with books on issues relating to and resulting from procreating several times over. Hers is called Bad Mother. His is called Manhood for Amateurs. Don’t worry; they’re good parents, despite the titles. This is them being witty — they’re writers.
