I'm Bad, I'm Bad, You Know It

Bad behavior is a fine theme for any magazine. Most glossies would perform shamefully under it, though, insinuating predictably that for men, bad behavior starts and stops at anal sex with women, and that for women, fake lesbianism is the way to go as long as you wear expensive hair and shoes at the time of said lesbianism. Luckily, local literary magazine Instant City isn't likely to swing that way, instead including drug use and risky bicycle riding along with the adventurous sex stories. Want to know what we think is bad behavior? Bookstore employees whose snobbery causes bookbuyers to flee independent bookstores. Wonder if there are any stories in this issue about that? We'd absolutely love to read a confessional tale from the other side of the counter: "I pretended not to notice the woman smiling; it was nauseating." Contributors Amanda Davidson, Sherilyn Connelly, Charles Gatewood, and others appear tonight, along with a local- historical-literary trivia game show.
