Come the apocalpse, we're really going to need these people, along with the moonshiners and the slaughterhouse folks. The "Hand Bookbinders of California Annual Members’ Exhibition" shows off what they do, whether it's leathery and gold-leafy or nu-wavey and punk-rockery. On June 24, July 8 and 22, and August 12, bookbinders are on hand in person at 11 a.m. to give guided tours. Cozy up to them; your Kindle will be no good after the revolution.
