Weimar, Weimar, Weimar. From where we sit, we see a lot of artists fixated on the shadowy, sexualized drama of Berlin nightlife immediately pre-Nazi control. It's a powerful aesthetic, as fictionalized by the deathless film Cabaret and as represented elsewhere in drool-inducing pieces of art from that era, from jewelry to pornography. It was a gay old time, full of debauchery and drag queens, and that is why SF Boylesque, a very pretty all-boy burlesque troupe, hews to its ways. At Les Folies Champagne, MC Jason Brock and DJ Lindon join the boys in entertaining you, and each bit is (prepare yourself) paired with a glass of champagne. One more time: 1930s-style gay man cabaret dance troupe with champagne pairings. It's mind-blowingly delicious and decadent.
