More About
At the San Francisco Theater Festival, please find 25 plays we've already told you about, plus 95 acts weve never heard of they're all part of this big, huge, giant, one-day thespian party. Among them is a tribute to The Big Lebowski called Lebowski Over the Line and Meldy Hernandez' one-woman show, BATHALA NA!, which follows a trilingual Filipina nurse through Africa. We don't generally use the phrase "something for everyone," because it isn't true. But the S.F. Theater Festival comes close to providing something for everyone, via "cocky Asians," tons of improv comedy, Global Women Intact's Voice of Africa band, and a contribution from the ongoing world-famous local production, Beach Blanket Babylon. Everyone, of course, also includes children, who rate their own fest-within-a-fest with jugglers, clowns, and magicians.
