The Diary of Anne Frankenstein

An Internet commenter has described actor Natasha Lyonne's career: “She just needs a 21st century John Waters to adopt her as his totem.” Waters might not be thrilled about the cant of such a remark, nor women filmmakers, nor Lyonne, but it happened anyway, just as the wise Internet commenter said it would. Joshua Grannell, aka drag superstar Peaches Christ of the movie screening, late-night stage show, and underground celebrity appearance series Midnight Mass, nabbed Lyonne as the star of his first feature film, All About Evil. Is it campy? Is it gory? Is Dode from Brick in it? Is fucking Mink Stole, the John Waters star herself, in it? Is it a gloriously local production set at the Victoria Theatre, complete with San Francisco fashion icons as extras? Yes, chickens, yes! And at this screening, will Peaches and the Midnight Mass players appear live onstage to provide you with an experience they call "4-D"? Aren't you just dying to know? Come in costume, obviously.
