Recoil is the brainchild of producer Alan Wilder, best known for his 15-year stint as one of the key souls behind the synthesizers in Depeche Mode. Wilder has been plugging away at Recoil since 1986, and recently released Selected, a career retrospective featuring remixes and rarities. A consummate studio dweller, he has never done a Recoil tour until now, and has enlisted the help of producer Paul Kendall to help make a live laptop symphony out of his own strange and edgy beats.
