Everything you need to know about music, you can learn from Stacie Marie Willoughby. The rather legendary rock posters in her new exhibit often use a base of warped 19th-century beauties both male and female; many appear confused and yet proud of their headdresses. Each poster is a sweet, complicated piece of tripped-out ephemera, but en masse they make a tiny fairyland of provoked exclamations, such as "Earthless, Witch, and Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound played the Brookdale Lodge in '05!? Where the fuck was I?" Willoughby offers prints for so cheap, we're considering some sort of wallpaper scenario, because life would be so groovy surrounded by her undulating towers, rippling ribbons, and majestic figures rendered in deep, gentle colors.
