Iron Triangle Urban Ballet: Say it out loud. Weird! There's a whole lot going on in that one short phrase. Antoine Hunter started the ITUB dance company, and tonight at the Men's Story Project, you can bet he's got some interesting points to make about the subject at hand: American masculinity. Hunter is a deaf black dancer in California, so he's got a unique perspective. The other 14 performers do too; they represent a wide range of ages, cultures, disciplines, etc. The evening is organized by a woman, Josie Lehrer, who's in health policy studies, and she's made sure the guys dig deep -- included among the specific topics (homophobia, violence, family) is "public restroom rituals."
Mon., Nov. 15, 7 p.m.; Wed., Nov. 17, 7 p.m., 2010
