We once met a man who made yachts, high-end yachts. The upholstery for high-end yachts. “Do really rich people, like movie stars, buy your yachts (upholstery?)” someone asked him. He laughed in what seemed like a genuine way. “No. Movie stars can't afford them. Movie producers buy them.” Artist Justin Limoges (He's the one who designed your Grass Widow T-shirt) is interested in yachts and other crap that screams “luxury!” What happens to that crap in a depression such as ours is even more interesting, meaning Limoges literalizes the tension between our love for and our hatred of richesse. Thus at “Chocolate Fountain,” among the sculpture and drawings is a Duchampian version of the title contraption — it sits on a walker and offers you tissues for your tears of joy, and the dog-ball-throwy things are arranged so as to make you want to pull the whole thing over. We have no idea what the tire swing is doing in there.
