Blonde, Not Bland

Everybody knows Lesley Ann Warren should have gotten the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1982 instead of that Jessica Lange. Everybody! Warren's star turn as a ditzy, appealing broad in Victor/Victoria was really quite pleasing. At Marc Huestis' "A Victor/Victoria Valentine," the lady herself appears, to be queried by Coco Peru, entertained ("Le Jazz Hot") by Matthew Martin, and to watch as Jan Wahl introduces the screening of V/V. Afterwards she signs stuff and it's all terribly glamorous and romantic in a dirty-joke ("Chicago, Illinois") kind of way.
