Forces beyond our control conspired to keep us from telling you about the Lyon-Martin Fundraiser. OpenOffice tried to hack us to death with a meat cleaver, for example. Our new blog, the Exhibitionist, ate our brain. Municipal commissions moved very, very slowly. Our phone broke, and as of this writing still refuses to even dial out. Egos tripped. But we wouldn't be deterred from telling you that the local clinic dedicated to women's and transgendered people's health is getting a benefit! It's one of many such events, because people around here aren't about to let a vital health clinic for the super-underserved go away. Drag scenesters Anna Conda, Sister Roma, and Dean Disaster host a beer bust, raffle, and drag show; “We look forward to the day when health care is a right, not a privilege,” they say on their Facebook page, “but until then we continue to help those in need.”
