A Meric A

Local doodz make good: The Dodos are really just a couple of Bay Area music nerds with a lot of soul. Meric Long and Logan Kroeber have been in many bands, worked many jobs, and toured the country in vans. The new record, though, No Color, is blow-up-big splashtime, having just been popular at Austin and having Neko Case as a backup singer on it. (Emphasis on the backup; don't freak out.) The music is characterized by a percussive dual-guitar sound with big ol' drums, and it will be excellent coming out of your car's music contraption the next time you go out of town. It's exactly what you should expect from the blow-up-big splashtime record of Bay Area music nerds with a lot of soul.
