There is a vast and varied swath of humanity committed to depicting sex on film in a way that is potentially realistic, intense, erotic, fantastical, and whatever other sex-specific vocabulary words you have. Do you like a little Vaseline on the lens, some poolboy narrative, a bit of late-night cable-TV sorority-sister madness? Perhaps just a dong throng hitting it in an abandoned warehouse? Well. “Three-Way: A Trilogy of Vintage Erotica” takes three disparate examples of sex on film created between 1969 and 1976 and creates an opportunity to not only enjoy the films, but also to observe the vagaries of the filmmakers’ artistic choices. Camille 2000 is stylized softcore, A Labor of Love is a documentary about the making of a hardcore feature film (director Robert Flaxman will appear at both screenings!), and The Wild Pussycat is a perverse and (unintentionally?) hilarious tale of sexual revenge. You may be stimulated in the brain, loins, or both. Whatever the case, you’ll be glad you came.
