Chris Sollars shaves with an ax. Tony Labat is internationally famous for drinking beer. And Mica Sigourney does not even want a normal life. At BAN6 Presents Literary Death Match, these three contributors to the Bay Area Now exhibit are the judges – they're the ones in charge. The performers are even less predictable: Chinaka Hodge, a poet and playwright of extreme hotness, cleverly bizarre artist Jonathon Keats, Portuguese Artists Colony founder Caitlin Myer, and writer Susan Steinberg go at it Death-Match style, with a lawless intensity coupled with a competitive desire to waggle your brain. Only one emerges victorious (a Benjamin on Hodge for us, please) because at no Literary Death Match has any team banded together to remove all their clothing FTW. Yet.
