No longer are creatively shaped mustaches and facial hair limited to hipsters, barbershop singers, and bears — clowns want in too. Circus artists converge to show you how in The Picklewater Clown Cabaret of Fine Mustaches. These attractively groomed clowns and acrobats celebrate the joys and sorrow of facial hair through performances with names such as Van Dykes, Mustache Rides, and Palmade. The Picklewater company is joined by fellow clown gang Pi the Physical Comedy Troupe, whose comedians “don’t tell jokes, they are jokes.” Also on Picklewater’s dance card are clowning duo Jamie Coventry and Natasha Kaluza (Coventry is said to “pull a whole world from a garbage can”), as well as acrobatic twosome Jeremy Vik and Zoe Klein. Abraham Dover (whose alter egos include Knotty Klown) adds performance prowess, while Aji Slater brings kinetic comedy, and Donny Divanian does stand-up. And ladies, don’t feel left out regarding the facial hair — there’s always that mustache photo feature on the ScoutMob app.
