One's dinner companions are so important, even if they are faux. At LEVYdance's new production, ROMP, said companions are not really at dinner, neither are you, and they have muscles you probably don't. Which is why they're so important: They may have a literal leg up on you. The severely interactive performance involves a near-total elimination of the fourth wall; there's no proscenium and no stage, or if there is, the audience is on it too. You're all jumbled together, and your next-seat neighbors are highly talented and known for their partner work. Key word there is partner -- the press materials are coy about whether your dinner companions are going to climb on you or hoist you around, but pretty clear that they intend to dance in your immediate vicinity.
