A party of unbridled disco nostalgia, Go Bang! is one of San Francisco's best kept secrets. Championing a sound that once filled this city's dancehalls, the party provides a vital link to a bygone era, not least of which is due to resident Steve Fabus. One of the party's revolving cast of DJs, Fabus has played at such fabled haunts as the I-Beam, Trocadero Transfer, and Dreamland. Now celebrating its third anniversary, the party is gathering its entire roster (including '00s SF disco-revival pioneer Nicky B., who is coming up from L.A.) for an epic blowout. Expect to experience disco the way it used to be, albeit with a polysexual crowd, tighter mixing, and records that include not only local favorites but also Chi-town and NYC club classics.
