More About
Originally from Tel Aviv and now based in Berlin, Maayan Nidam established a reputation in the last decade for producing and DJing muggy, dub-haunted minimal house under the name Miss Fitz. In the last few years, however, she has focused her style, and she now lays down more lush, melodic, and groove-oriented deep tech-house. Swede Axel Boman co-headlines Nidam's S.F. show with a similarly anodyne style: He assembles tracks out of murmuring bass, parched percussion and muffled samples that eventually thicken into more beat-forward soundscapes. Both are masters of the slow build, and don't rely on cheap crescendos to please.
