Local post-punk trio Rank/Xerox is continuing its upward trajectory: The band's neurotic debut album elicited universally positive reviews and topped many punk-focused 2011 year-end lists, so its upcoming appearance at Fivepoints Arthouse will be important for this local talent. But with The Shoppers as support, it will likely be landmark. Based in Syracuse, The Shoppers received significant praise for last year's Silver Year, which boasts straight-ahead punk glazed with white noise.
