A benefit for the man nicknamed the Godfather of Skating, featuring DJs Anthony Mansfield, Carey Kopp, Big Fat Frog, and DJ Sol spinning disco, funk, house, and hip-hop tunes, is set for Thursday, Feb. 23, at Mighty. 9 p.m., donations requested in lieu of cover charge.

A Jan. 23 fire in his Richmond District home has temporarily displaced his family, yet he continues to roll on with his busy skating schedule.
