Kurt So Good

Walking around San Francisco, there are plenty of gorgeous attractions to see. The visual splendor is part of what makes our city such a huge tourist attraction. But more often than not, there is just as much to laugh at as look at. The people, clothes, and culture are all very … unique. OK, we'll say it, the right word is weird. But the question remains, Have we always been this goofy? Kurt Weitzmann, who has been making San Franciscans laugh for over 20 years (and who once parodied us with his publication SF Weakly), is on a quest to find out as he takes us back in time through the power of comedy, poking fun at every era along the way. And just like an old school 1920s boxer, Weitzmann isn't pulling any punches. From the Barbary coast to Haight-Ashbury, Kurt gives us the ol' one-two, by making the historical hysterical.
Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Aug. 26. Continues through Oct. 28, 2012
