Toe the Line

If your kids need some fun activities to keep them from bouncing off the walls, then lace up your kicks and come to Kick It for Kids, a community kickball tournament at the newly revitalized Balboa Park. Hosted in partnership with the World Adult Kickball Association (who knew?), San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, and Playworks, all proceeds from the event go to programs that bring play and physical activity to local elementary schools and foster positive learning environments. You can bring a whole team to compete (which yes, you can name) or register solo if you just want to get in on the action. Registration includes a T-shirt, snacks, drinks, two beer tickets (for the adults), a round robin tournament, and a chance to win a trophy. So come kick it with your fellow sporting enthusiasts for a good cause. Who says our city doesn’t provide wholesome and fun events for kids and families?
