More About

What’s a Jew to do on December 25th? Plenty. If the Mayans are wrong, 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of Kung Pao Kosher Comedy, when the chosen people and their favorite goys can head to Chinatown for the yearly tradition of Jewish comedy in a Chinese restaurant. Emmy award-winning actress Judy Gold, a regular on Comedy Central, is joined by Scott Blakeman, a "nice Jewish boy from Brooklyn." Mike “Kosher Meatball” Capozolla represents the Bay Area, and the night’s progenitor, Lisa Geduldig, emcees. Proceeds go to the Jewish Family and Children’s Services and the Bay Area Women’s and Children’s Center. All ages and denominations are welcome to stuff themselves and listen to hilarious people kvetch. If strip dreidel is more your thing, then It's a Jewish Christmas is the event for you. Hosted by local penny-pinching blogger Broke-Ass Stuart, a buffet of Chinese food is on this menu as well, which you’ll find next to the Hanukkah bush flown in "the guiltiest region" in Poland known. Woody Allen, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Larry David films play in the background as you awkwardly sway with a Jewish American Princess (whom your mother will love and also deem unworthy) while DJ Matt Haze spins.
Tue., Dec. 25, 8 p.m., 2012
