You're in the thick of it, aren't you? The frenzy of the holidays has washed over like a tidal wave and replaced visions of sugar plums with the cold slap of gift-giving budgets, packed parking lots, and incessant top 40 holiday songs. Cynicism has turned the worried generosity of, "Do you think he'll like it?" into an obstinate, "Well, he better like it because that's what he's getting!" Delay desperate attempts to squeeze one more holiday memory from a litany of TV programs, recitals, and parties. Take a breath, settle your brain, and reward your efforts with the San Francisco Symphony's 'Twas the Night concert. This evening of special celebration is a perfect sonic escape. Pop maven and jazz vocalist Lisa Vroman joins SFS guest conductor Ragnar Bohlin, and members of the symphony's brass and chorus, for a night of festive Christmas carols and songs. The concert promises arrangements of favorites, including "Little Drummer Boy," "Do You Hear What I Hear," and "Baby It's Cold Outside." The night is topped with a fun audience sing-along. You're in holiday hell now, so make each moment count with good cheer and good music.
