More About

Just when AT&T Park has had a chance to cool off after the Giants' World Series win, another high profile event comes to town. But this one's in tune with the holiday spirit. The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Game, recently renamed from the previous incarnation as the Emerald Bowl, is the premiere event in the college football bowl lineup. Over the past two years, the Kraft Bowl has contributed to the financial equivalent of 200,000 meals to its three local partnership groups: the S.F. Food Bank, St. Anthony's Dining Room, and Glide Memorial Church. First known as the Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl in its inception in 2002, the Kraft Bowl is currently the only one in the 35-game bowl lineup to be connected to a social cause -- that's just how we roll. Today's matchup is the Navy VS Arizona State University, and is sure to be an exciting game. If you can't wait until today, there's a week's worth of events leading up to the big game, including team visits, press conferences, a kickoff luncheon, and a rally at Union Square.
