This week is a good one to relax and enjoy the city in a way that may not be easy to achieve during your normal hectic schedule. Whether you have relatives in town or not, we invite you to be a tourist at home -- with lots and lots of chocolate. With the Holiday Lights and Chocolate Tour, Gourmet Walks (which won our "Tastiest Walking Tour" award in 2008) has created a seasonal version of its popular chocolate tour that incorporate some informed gazing of the beautiful decorations in the Union Square area. There are seven stops in all, including bon bons at Recchiuti Confections and hot chocolate and Parisian macaroons at Tout Sweet Patisserie, with more bars, truffles, and pastries along the way. The journey reaches from the Ferry Building through Union Square and ends at the nearby Westfield Centre, so participants can put their sugar buzz to use and walk off the calories too.
