The recent closure of Deco Bar has caused a stir in local nightlife. One party affected is Haçeteria, the long-running retro rave that's played a major role as a live space for an emerging scene of avant-garde dance music producers. No longer at its old haunt, the party found a new home at Slate — the club formerly known as Som — and luckily not much has changed. This month it welcomes The Antacid Crew, a duo from Santa Cruz with a taste for rogue warehouse parties, acid house, and archaic electronic instruments. Though veterans on the scene, the group makes its debut performance at Haçeteria tonight, which should be a fitting beginning for the party's new venue. As usual, resident DJs Nihar, Smac, Jason P., and Tristes Tropiques will be on hand to keep things ravey until last call.
