San Francisco celebrates graphic art this weekend with a casual and free fine arts exhibition. The San Francisco Fine Print Fair is an annual event that offers arts scholars, collectors, and enthusiasts alike a glimpse into the world of fine art rarities, with works varying in period and style. This year’s fair boasts traditional Japanese woodcuts and art by impressionist, modern, and contemporary masters. Special programs include a panel discussion on the 100-year history of California printmaking and a workshop on printmaking techniques, with samples in illustration, etching, engraving, and lithography. This year’s fair also features 15 fine art dealers from across the U.S. and Canada, including a hefty conglomeration of art aficionados located here at home. Hear from a group of fascinating professionals, educators, and experts on fine art and print collection. A portion of the sales at this event benefit the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, a support group of the fine arts museums of San Francisco.
