Great article. I've written my own based on it. I agree with the sentiment that it is foolish and dangerous to force people into areas to congregate, for "safety measures," causing them to be more unsafe, based upon feelgood measures just for the sake of feeling good. I hear about this sort of mentality right here in Berkeley, just across the bay, about downtown and People's Park. It's mostly smoke for a political agenda, which is usually fueled by commerce and some capitalistic force that hits us over the head with their Corporate Bible, claiming Divinity, that we're lost souls and they are here to save us all.
