Best Abondigas San Francisco 2000 - La Rondalla


Yes, it is fun to say "best abondigas." But really, these are the best meatballs, as in meatball soup, in town. Their girth is somewhere between that of a golf ball and a baseball, the meat still pink on the inside, and huge pieces of zucchini, potato, and carrot give new meaning to the phrase "La sopa that eats like a meal." Throw in a squeeze of lemon -- and perhaps a strawberry margarita on the side -- and you'll realize that, no matter how many swank new restaurants open in the Mission, La Rondalla will always stand head and shoulders above them all.
