Comments (0) Best Place to Rave After Work - 2000

"Qoöl" at 111 Minna Street Gallery

This Wednesday after-work dance tradition is in its fourth year and the lines out the door attest to its popularity. From the hours of 5 to 9 p.m., it's the hoppin'-est early weekday dance session the city has to offer, and even though it's barely evening, the dance floor goes off in high-frequency fashion. The techno/house tunes bump up the rump, and visuals provide a nice touch for the happy buzz from pints of Hefeweizen. SOMA office folks and Academy of Art students alike seem to coexist peacefully amidst these colorful walls, and come 9 p.m. you'll be as sweaty as a teenager and ready for an early night in bed -- or writing off early Friday meetings in order to continue your night on the town. Either way, ringing ears will undoubtedly drown out every word your boss utters the next morning, and you'll feel all the better for it.
