The experience of eating here can only be likened to dining inside a sumptuously appointed, unabashedly elegant Arabian Nights oasis: The soft folds of the venue's enfolding tent glow in the candlelight, exotic florals dazzle their way toward a wrought-iron chandelier hanging from the ceiling, an attentive yet discreet waitstaff murmurs you through the sort of warmly amorous evening you'll remember with your grandkids (assuming the evening has the expected effect). Nothing beats Michael Taylor's starry, starry setting in the romance department, especially when accompanied by Hubert Keller's sensual fare in four courses: a passion-inducing array of foie gras, caviar, oysters, chocolates, and fine wines, each dish as polished, colorful, and intricate as a sparkling jewel.
