Stylist Bruce Choy doesn't cut hair -- he creates masterpieces of art that you wear on your head. Using special patented scissors (two to eight pairs of scissors welded together, manufactured in Japan), Choy has developed a unique technique that will produce only the most fashionable of results. During the approximately half-hour session, Choy, who can wield scissors in both hands, will snip, tousle, and layer your hair by cutting it dry, without a comb -- a technique that is beginning to catch on in Asia and has great promise in the American market, some salon industry insiders say. Haircuts cost $60, though Choy's not interested in taking many more customers; he hopes to retire in a year so he can promote his technique full time.
