The wonder that was Gordon's has disappeared from the corner of Florida and Mariposa streets, now a ghost town, but if you yearn for its signature salad of warm Brussels sprouts tossed with chunks of bacon and hard-boiled egg, scented with onion and slightly oiled, it's still to be found on the menu of Gordon's sister restaurant, Verbena, across the bay in the near-ghost town of downtown Oakland.
