Comments (0) Best Frozen Yogurt - 2004
Michaelis Wine & Spirit
Sure, this Cow Hollow liquor store sells bourbon and cabernet and Anchor Steam and all that, but its raison d'être is the frozen yogurt it serves up from a little counter in the back. Thick, rich, and creamy as a fine gelato, the stuff is a perpetual magnet for svelte, savvy locals jonesing for a low-fat (yet eminently satisfying) goodie. Although only 10 varieties are offered on any given day, they might include such temptations as Very Berry, Death by Chocolate, Cookies and Cream, or Peanut Butter. Our favorite, though, is the Vanilla Custard, a dense, supple scoop of pure pleasure with a lacteal simplicity reminiscent of panna cotta or crème brûl?e. It's very nice to sit on the bench in front of the store, taking your sweet time savoring every mouthful and watching the Ferragamos walk by.
