Tucked into a cozy storefront on upper Grant in North Beach, the restaurant serves a clientele that runs heavily toward couples engaged in affaires de coeur (that's "love affairs," you dolt) ranging from first dates to quiet silver-anniversary celebrations. Believe us, she'll melt when she walks into this joint. Most candlelit tables seat only two; the atmosphere is such that you'll keep expecting Ingrid Bergman to saunter through the front door.
