Best Consignment Store - 2005
You deserve to wear Prada. We know you do. And we also know you're not made of money. Few people are. Well, fortunately for the rest of us, those few are consigning their clothes to Cris. This little secondhand boutique on upper Polk Street sells designer duds (mostly for women) in excellent to new condition, for a fraction of what they'd cost off the rack. Don't believe us? We'll bet you a pair of $110 Marc Jacobs red velveteen ballet flats, never worn, still in their box, that we're right. Still don't believe us? We'll bet you a $58 Vivienne Westwood sweater. The stock is arranged by color, each piece sporting a small white label noting the designer, which makes it easy to scan for a deal on your favorite unaffordable line. Though there are plenty of cute casual items, we think Cris is a godsend for ritzy occasion dresses you know you'll only wear once.
