Best Hardware Store - 2005
Hundley is a hardware store in the most literal of senses, its showroom floor a veritable explosion of knobs, hooks, pulls, handles, hinges, doorstops, and bath setups (matching towel bars, shelves, soap dishes, toothbrush holders, mirrors, etc.), with some cleaning supplies thrown in as well. It's not for the faint of heart -- our initial visit lasted about an hour, and all we did was browse, so we recommend having a good idea of what you're looking for before arriving -- or for the faint of pocketbook -- no prices are displayed for a reason (two knobs and three hooks set us back 60 bucks). But after trying Discount Builders Supply, Cliff's Variety, Bauerware, and IKEA before discovering this place, we felt it was worth the expense to get exactly what we wanted, right then and there. Hundley can special order even more than what you see on display. And there's a parking lot behind the store, which should save you from our mistake of parking on a meter, getting lost in the aisles, and returning to a DPT ticket.
